This explains, plainly, what we collect when you join the Daraja waitlist, why, how we protect it, and how you stay in control.

Who we are
Daraja is an education platform in pre-launch. The organisation responsible for your data: legal company name and registered address.
What we collect
When you sign up we collect only: your email address, the option you chose (teacher, student or educational organisation), the page language, and when you consented and to which version of the consent text.
If you arrive from a campaign link, we keep the campaign source, medium and name (for example, Facebook) to learn which channels work. We do not collect age, school, phone number or anything else.
Why we collect it
To tell you about Daraja's launch and launch-related updates only, and to understand which groups are interested in what we're building. The legal basis is your explicit consent.
What we won't do
We won't sell your data, send you marketing unrelated to the launch, or share your email with advertisers.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the site and store data: hosting provider and database provider. If analytics is enabled, it is Plausible, which uses no cookies and never receives your email.
How long we keep it
Until launch and for at most 12 months after, or until you ask us to delete it or withdraw consent — whichever comes first.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, with no consequences. Every email we send will include an unsubscribe link.
Students under 18
We don't ask for anything that reveals age. If you are under the applicable age of consent, please ask a parent or guardian to sign up or consent. If we learn a minor signed up without consent, we delete their data.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored in a database that is not publicly accessible; access is limited to a small number of team members.
